Customizing Your Timesheet

Time Format in Timesheet Settings

If you’re a system administrator, then you can configure the time entry format on timesheets to be in decimal or minutes format. This article will walk you through the process.

Click Time/Expense...Timesheets from your navigation bar.

Then, click the Gear icon in the top-right corner of your screen.

Towards the top-middle part of your window, you’ll see the time format options: decimal (eg, 10.25) and minutes (eg, 10:15).

Decimal is the default option. So if you prefer users to enter their time in minutes, then click the radio button next to minutes.

Keep in mind that selecting minutes is only for entering time. For example, if you choose “minutes”, then your users will enter and edit their time in minutes throughout BigTime. But after saving a time entry, the time will be displayed in decimal format.

Click the Update Timesheet Format button to save your change.
